Hi! I am wondering about the setting “Error threshold” in the host configuration. I know that I can configure health checks but I wanted to understand that field better. How is it working does it just mark a backend as down after a certain amount of errors? What is considered an error? Status code >= 500? And in which timeframe is the counting happening is it ever being reset?

It’s related to a mode that some of our customers make use of; I’m just chatting to a few Fastlyans to get some clarity here… I’ll add a new reply once I have this, but didn’t want this going unanswered for too long.
OK so more digging completed. In short it’s related to a mode that some of our customers use but we don’t generally recommend / suggest new folks use, so please ignore that field in the UI.
And thank you for this feedback: we’ll either remove the field from the UI or improve the documentation around it.
