Using Fastly Shared SSL with Magento

#1

Fastly works great with the unsecure frontend of our Magento website but it’s not clear how to configure Fastly and Magento to use Fastly’s shared domain TLS wildcard certificate.
We setup the new domain our_name.global.ssl.fastly.net in the Fastly service -> configuration --> domains panel
Then we went into the Magento admin -> system -> config -> web and changed the secure URLs to use https://our_name.global.ssl.fastly.net
When we attempt to connect to one of the store’s secure URLs we get bounced to the store’s front page.
Looks like we’re missing something - can anyone advise?

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,

You can also check that you are using the Magento/Fastly integration. Here is the help link toget you started - https://github.com/fastly/fastly-magento. Installing the plugin should point to your service and use the domains listed.

It doesn’t only help to let the user be on safe side but also I have noticed that search engine shows a green signal for the websites that have SSL installed and red signal for the websites that are not SSL installed.https://www.cloudways.com/blog/how-to-install-ssl-on-magento/, Here’s the best guide that helped me to fix SSL in my Magento store.
